At first, she loved the fellowship, but then she realized that the church culture was actually a cancel culture where you weren't allowed to question Steven Furtick's teachings. Melanie realized that Steven Furtick practiced eisegesis me-centered teaching, which was one of the reasons why she left the church and was shunned in the process.
